DESCRIPTION

Jurong Port has job opportunities for the following:

1.SENIOR EXECUTIVE, OPERATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY

Job Description

  • Analyse Operation Requirements and translate into functional requirement specifications
    • Prepare feasibility studies on various initiatives
    • Analyse raw data from operations departments to determine trends and correlation
    • Visit ground site to study current processes and understand the constraints
    • Formalise user business processes and requirements into functional specifications
  • Implementation of Operation Transformation Projects and Systems
    • Revamp existing systems to incorporate new operation requirements.
    • Engagement between ITD & users in Operations & Technology to align understandings & requirements required for new systems.
    • Develop test scenarios for users to ensure delivery of system as per requirement.
    • Implementation of systems to internal and/or external stakeholders and to ensure 100% user adoption.
  • Report and analyse performance data and trends on Operations Productivity
    • Monitor Operation KPI trackers
    • BI development support: Stevedore & productivity related requirement from Operations
    • Submit and collate monthly reports (e.g. M3 meeting, Labour Productivity updates etc.) under structured framework with internal stakeholders
  • Support Operations & Technology HODs with appropriate data analysis for effective decision making
    • Generate reports in terms of data collation and analysis to support strategic initiatives
    • Ensure data integrity at all times
  • Support annual budgeting & quarterly forecasting exercise for Operations & Technology division
    • Coordinate & drive the exercises for Operations & Technology division
  • Other ad-hoc projects tasked by reporting manager

Applicant Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Information Systems, Maritime Studies or other relevant areas
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in logistics, maritime, shipping or in the port industry is preferred
  • Highly numerate, meticulous and process driven
  • Able to deliver results under stressful and challenging conditions
  • Strong terminal operation knowledge or other relevant areas
  • Strong in Microsoft Office (added advantage if proficient in Macros)
  • Persuasive and able to achieve results from others through influence stakeholders in changing environment
  • Thrives in a fluid and challenging environment, able to make qualified decisions under time pressures or lack of complete information
  • A good communicator, outgoing, and able to engage others across diverse cultures
  • Class 3/3A driving license would be an added advantage

2. BUSINESS UNIT INTERN

Job Description

  • Support the industry engagement by liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in the submission of quotations and be involved in negotiation with vendors and contractors
  • Apply for permits and declarations through internal and external systems as required
  • Coordinate the project operations and provide support in other duties as required

Applicant Requirements

  • Degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

3. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT INTERN

Job Description

  • Assist in developing templates to facilitate analysis of the performance of Joint Venture Companies
  • Support the team in analysing the business performance fo the Joint Venture Companies (JV Cos)
  • Assist in identifying the key parameters that have significant influence on financial results
  • Develop templates to facilitate the tracking and monitoring of such key parameters

Applicant Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration or equivalent

4. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & COMBI-TERMINAL INTERN

  • Perform Data Analysis during Marunda Online Enhancement and Reports Formatting for management's review
  • Support the investment function and be involved in project evaluation, research, valuation and financial modelling
  • Assist in other relevant duties as assigned

Marunda On Line is an integrated terminal operating system for performing transactions with customers as well as vendors, capturing granular information for revenue as well as direct variable costs

  • Degree in Business Analytics, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent

5. OPERATIONS & TECHNOLOGY INTERN

Job Description

  • Track vessel schedule, deployment records and perform data analysis on weekly/monthly basis
  • Compile the weekly vessel compliance report and perform data analysis for Steel Cargo Stowage Guideline and Policy project
  • Be involved in internal and external meeting and consolidate the meeting minutes
  • Conduct data collection and gather inputs/requirement for technology related projects

  • Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration or equivalent

6. TECHNICAL SERVICES - INFRASTRUCTURE MAINTENANCE & PROJECTS INTERN

Job Description

  • Carry out feasibility study related to port planning using simulation software (i.e. PCPS software)
  • Present the results and findings from the port planning feasibility study
  • Carry out site supervision or checks on the on-going construction works in the port and report any safety infringement, non-compliance with design and authorities, etc
  • Review documents and drawings submitted by contractor/consultant

Applicant Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering

7. CORPORATE IT INTERN

Job Description

  • Serve as first point of contact for users/customers seeking technical assistance over phone, email or onsite
  • Provide technical assistance and resolving 1st level problems with network and computer systems through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support
  • Diagnose system errors and other issues
  • Administration of Office 365 – diagnose, troubleshoot and/or support
  • Follow up with users to ensure full resolution of issues
  • Manage, track and perform asset inventory of hardware/equipment
  • Participate in software and hardware rollout

  • Degree in Computing, Information Technology or equivalent

8. INTERNAL AUDIT INTERN

Job Description

  • Carry out research on policies and processes to prepare the audit planning memorandum
  • Be involved in interviewing process owners and reviewing related documentation to understand the risks and controls, in order to prepare the audit program
  • Perform audit, identify areas of non-compliance or improvement and present the findings in a report -Support the Division in any advisory projects

9. ACCOUNTING INTERN

Job Description

  • Verify invoices and process payments
  • Prepare Accounts Receivable (AR) receipts reconciliations & AR invoicing
  • Assist in the preparation of tax schedules & budgeting process
  • Assist in any ad hoc duties

  • Degree in Finance, Accountancy or equivalent

10. CORPORATE RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS INTERN

  • Conceptualise, plan and execute publicity, admin and logistics requirements for various corporate publicity events and branding initiatives as part of the team.
  • Participate in the conceptualisation, design, production and vendor management process in the lead up to publicity events.
  • Assist the team in hosting corporate visits and briefings to create mindshare and positive influence.
  • Support the team in maintaining of brand through internal (e.g. company e-newsletter) and external communications (e.g. social media).
  • Manage alignment with corporate strategy and goals.
