DESCRIPTION

The following positions with Pacific Radiance are open for applications:

1. ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE (6-month contract)

Job Description

  • Maintain Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets and General Ledger Accounts
  • Maintain Fixed Assets (IT) Register
  • Book all journal voucher entries and prepare monthly schedules
  • Prepares bank reconciliations
  • Handle month-end closing and prepare monthly management reports
  • Update receipts received from customers
  • Handle Accounts Payable function
  • Preparation of tax computation, corporate & withholding tax submission and other tax filing matters
  • Monthly GST reporting
  • Prepare audit schedules and financial statements. Ensure timely completion and submission of audited financial statements
  • Maintains a systematic filing system
  • Any other duties assigned from time to time

Applicant Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Working experience with SAP will be an added advantage

2. ACCOUNTS COORDINATOR

Job Description

  • Distributing suppliers' invoices to individual personnel or department in charge for verification
  • Coding of all suppliers' invoices and staff reimbursement for Accounts Executive's verification
  • Processing and recording all suppliers' invoices (including inter-company invoices) as accounts payable in SAP
  • Uploading supporting documents to SAP system for invoices without PO
  • Provide and ensure copies of suppliers' invoices are in place to the Accounts Receivable team for back-charge to 3rd parties, charterer or owners as per instruction
  • Billing of inter-company back-charges
  • Preparation and handling of local and overseas payments by issuing cheques and telegraphic transfer/Giro
  • Follow up with suppliers on invoices and reconciliation of suppliers’ statements
  • Check staff reimbursement and arrange for payment on a monthly basis based on stipulated timeline
  • Preparation of monthly Creditors Aging report
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliation
  • Submit monthly estimated AP payments schedule to Accounts Executive at beginning of each month
  • Filing and archiving of AP files
  • Assist in areas when needed during month and year end
  • Any other duties assigned by management

Applicant Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least an "O" Level, Professional Certificate/NITEC, Diploma in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  • At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Team player who has the ability to work under pressure and tight deadline
  • Candidate with SAP knowledge will be an added advantage

3. PURCHASING OFFICER

Job Description

  • Source and obtain competitive quotations for materials
  • Execute orders according to purchasing guidelines
  • Expedite orders and monitor delivery status
  • Communicate with superintendents or ship repair manager for matters relating to requisitions
  • Negotiate term contracts/fixed price agreements/credit terms with suppliers
  • Involve in vendor management activities (New vendor pre-qualification, vendor site audit and annual evaluation, etc)
  • Any other task assigned from time to time

Applicant Requirements

  • Purchasing experience in Shipchandler, Ship Manager or Shipyard preferred
  • Resourceful with good knowledge of marine suppliers
  • Knowledge in SAP preferred
  • Good negotiation skill
  • Knowledge in vendor management

4. OPERATION SUPERINTENDENT

Job Description

  • OVID and upload comments in OVID / CMID / MWS / Client and Vessel inspections
  • Close out observations and NCs
  • On & Offhire survey (consumables, condition, barges & vessels)
  • Send liaison contact notices & sailing instructions and prepare voyage reports
  • Process, procure and monitor requisitions & provisions
  • Follow up with suppliers on PO issuance, payment and verify invoices
  • Source quotes for appointment of OPS
  • Vessel attendance in port when required
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Novaco; email data usage, status and immarsat phone usage
  • Handover / Takeover agency; pilot bookings; arrival and departure notices, order fresh water and FO
  • Assist marketing with input and submission of tender specs
  • Liaise directly with charterer for offshore repairs
  • Prepare and submit reports (voyage reports, monthly reports, management reports) when required

Applicant Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Preferably candidates with sailing experience (Master or Chief Officer)

5. MARKETING SUPPORT COORDINATOR

Job Description

  • Provide general support to Marketing team
  • Assist in preparation of tenders/contracts in terms of documentation, costing and coordinating with relevant departments
  • Track and ensure billing/invoicing is in order
  • Prepare commercial quotation and proposals to clients
  • Update and maintain job status summary for fleet management
  • Manage customer feedback and corrective actions
  • Communicate job requirements to respective department via commercial workflow processes
  • Coordinate ship registry matters
  • Ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Applicant Requirements

  • Minimum GCE 'O' Level
  • Tasks oriented with good communication skills
  • Candidates with marine experience will be an added advantage

6. TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT

Job Description

  • Sound technical knowledge in vessel machinery, equipment and system
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good knowledge of vessel's classification and statutory requirements
  • Prepare dry-docking/repair specifications and monitor work progress
  • Maintain vessel allocated budget and meet operational standard as required by Management
  • Carry out internal audits, risk assessment, incident investigation and closing out report
  • Monitoring ships' performance, documentation and records
  • Liaise with charterers on technical and operational matters including vessel performance etc
  • Perform monthly review of logs processes and attend to vessel inspections
  • Undertake any other Technical related assignments as and when required
  • Execute planned maintenance system and ensure compliance

Applicant Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Good knowledge in vessel machinery, equipment and system
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good knowledge of vessel's classification and statutory requirements
  • Candidates familiar with ISM and ISPS codes preferred
