DESCRIPTION

Executive Ship Management has job openings for the following:

1. DEPUTY TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT

Job Description

  • Achieve high standards of safe and pollution-free operations of vessels by ensuring that company policies related to Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality Assurance (HSEQA) are effectively implemented
  • Keep abreast of international regulations / legal requirements and ensure assigned vessels comply to these.
  • Assist in investigations of all insurance related matters
  • Propose annual operating budget for assigned vessels by taking view of forthcoming repairs & maintenance, statutory, Flag and Port Requirements and maintain vessels within budgets
  • Closely monitor and review vessel's conditions to ensure that she complies with Port State Control and Oil Majors regulations at all times
  • Effectively and efficiently carry out routine vessel inspections, dry-docking and major repairs
  • Plan and implement corrective actions for defects that may exist in the vessels and ensure compliance with planned maintenance schedule for assigned vessel
  • Monitor and ensure that all applicable vessel certifications are valid and surveys / renewals are planned well in time
  • Ensure fleet vessels performance is within charter party requirements and Company goals
  • Ensure that all technical reports required by various stakeholders are submitted on time
  • Monitor and ensure appropriate resource allocation by regularly reviewing the Work and Rest Hours of personnel on board
  • Maintain cordial relations with senior officers and general wellbeing of seafarers onboard assigned vessel.

Applicant Requirements

  • Minimum Marine Engineer Class 1
  • Engineering(Marine) related discipline
  • With prior minimum 1 year sailing experience onboard tanker vessels in Sernior Ranks
  • Fluency in English with good English writing skills is a must
  • Technical knowledge and expertise in managing Oil/Gas/Chemical vessels

2. DEPUTY MARINE SUPERINTENDENT

Job Description

  • Achieve high standards of safe and pollution-free operations of vessels by ensuring that company policies related to Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality Assurance (HSEQA) are effectively implemented
  • Keep abreast of international regulations / legal requirements related to marine operations and ensure assigned vessels comply to these
  • Carry out all activities related to: (1) SIRE and CDI approvals and PSC compliance; (2) Navigation; (3) Cargo Operations; and (4) Loss Prevention and Claims Handling from planning to effective implementation
  • Ensure safe cargo operations, navigation, vessels transit through high risk area and other marine operational matters by close follow up with assigned vessels
  • Conduct: (1) Sailing Navigation Audits and (2) Internal HSEQA Audits of vessels periodically
  • Plan, implement and ensure close out of corrective actions to resolve issues related to marine operational matters in close liaison with Technical Department
  • Carry out Incident investigation related to vessel's marine operational matters as and when required
  • Ensure vessels are fully prepared for SIRE inspections by carrying our pre-vetting internal audits and risk assessments

Applicant Requirements

  • Minimum Class 1 Master Mariner
  • Engineering(Marine) related discipline
  • With prior minimum 1 year sailing experience onboard tanker vessels in Sernior Ranks
  • Fluency in English with good English writing skills is a must
  • Technical knowledge and expertise in managing Oil/Gas/Chemical vessels

3. ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT

Job Description

  • Achieve high standards of safe and pollution-free operations of vessels by ensuring that company policies related to Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality Assurance (HSEQA) are effectively implemented.
  • Maintain accuracy in the following ships’ records such as drawings/plans and technical service.
  • Plan and coordinate class and flag surveys and other related requirements for the fleet as assigned.
  • Monitor and ensure that all class/trading and other mandatory certificates for all fleet vessels are valid.
  • Manage and review fleet compliance on consumption of fuel and lube oil, and planned maintenance program onboard the fleet vessels.
  • Maintain compilation of reports regarding repair and dry-dock specifications.
  • Provide assistance to Technical and Marine Superintendents to rectify any defects or observations received for fleet vessels.
  • To act as back up for Technical and Marine Superintendents.

Applicant Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Engineering(Marine)
  • 3 year experience as Technical Engineer or similar capacity
  • Fluency in English with good English writing skills is a must
  • Computer literacy is a must
