HIGHER NITEC IN MARINE & OFFSHORE TECHNOLOGY

WHAT IT IS

In their course of study, students will learn how to provide technical support and supervise fabrication, repair and refurbishment activities of all types of vessels and offshore structures in the marine and offshore industry.

CAREER PROSPECTS

Higher Nitec in Marine & Offshore Technology graduates are employed by shipyards and other supporting companies which provide services relating to repair, fabrication and refurbishment activities of all types of vessels and offshore structures in the marine and offshore industry. Some of the job titles held by graduates include Assistant Supervisor, Trainee Supervisor, Assistant Marine Supervisor and Foreman.

FURTHER STUDIES

Higher Nitec in Marine & Offshore Technology graduates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 and above may apply for progression to the first year of a related diploma course at the Polytechnics.
