PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL LINES (PIL)

WHAT IT IS

Pacific International Lines (PIL) is a privately held company incorporated in Singapore that operates a range of businesses spanning from shipping to container manufacturing and other logistics related services, with the core of their business in container shipping. PIL is one of the largest ship-owners in Southeast Asia with a focus on Asia-Africa and the Middle East.

The PIL Talent Development Programme is a 2 year structured programme with on-job rotations that last for 6 to 8 months with key business units to broaden your exposure and develop your functional and leadership skills. Through this programme, young talents are cultivated and groomed to take on future management and leadership roles in the organisation.

Experience a taste of life at sea, undertake business trips to international offices and partake in networking sessions with PIL's Management team to learn more about their vision, plans and experiences.

Candidates who demonstrate strong performance and leadership potential may be placed on accelerated career progression and tasked with challenging and substantial responsibilities across functions.

Representing Headquarters in Singapore, you will have opportunities to work and network with colleagues from around the world.

Gain opportunities to interact closely with the Management team and receive career guidance and development opportunities throughout your career. This also includes dialogue sessions with the Management team; and the Human Resource Department.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Talent who demonstrates strong analytical skills, outstanding leadership qualities and a passion to pursue excellence. To qualify, you should possess a good honours degree in any discipline and an impressive leadership track record.

"My most memorable rotation was in Corporate Office, managing the West African subsidiaries and Joint Ventures where I was involved in a company acquisition project and setting up of a new shipping agency. Graduating with a Bachelor in Maritime Studies, the business management centric work felt challenging and trained my business aptitude daily.

Through this programme, I forged great friendships across various divisions. My colleagues and I would unwind over dinner or go for an evening run around Marina Bay, organized by the company’s very own recreation club.
