Set your sights on kickstarting your career with some of the best companies both locally and internationally.

The Monjasa Oil and Shipping Trainee Programme is a global two-year programme that combines hands-on experience with in-depth industry knowledge.

Oil and shipping trainees will be able to apply their learning right away as a Bunker Trader or Operator within Monjasa’s core business, which includes reselling and physical supply of marine fuels to the shipping industry on a global level. Monjasa values personal relations and this is a common denominator for how they work.

Trainees will work side-by-side with colleagues who have years of experience within their field. During the two years, trainees will complete rotation periods in Monjasa’s offices around the world and are enrolled in a two-year education, The Commercial Shipping Programme, at the Danish Shipping Academy in Denmark.

The world as your office

The programme is designed to provide you with a structured series of rotations across our core trading business. You will have longer periods in your home office with two rotation periods in other Monjasa offices such as Singapore, Dubai, Denmark, Cyprus or Panama which will help improve your understanding of different business contexts and cultures.

Hands-on experience

You immediately contribute to the performance of the team. During the two-year period, your knowledge of our business areas will gradually develop, and you will build your hands-on experience day by day. Your rotation periods will equip you with thorough knowledge of our global set-up and build global relations with colleagues as well as business partners.

Building a solid foundation

While working at Monjasa, you will also gain further knowledge within oil & shipping as you will be enrolled in a formal two-year education as part of the Commercial Shipping Programme with the Danish Shipping Academy.

In addition, the Monjasa Academy will provide you with internal Monjasa learning where you will be enrolled in a selection of courses such as Trading, Bunker Knowledge, Shipping Knowledge, Innovation and development of business opportunities.

A member of your team will be your personal mentor and follow you through the entire two-year programme to guide you and make sure you continuously develop and learn.

You typically hold a Bachelor’s Degree combined with excellent English skills. Alternative background could be a college education (HHX) or similar with extracurricular experiences from travel, military, work, living abroad or similar.

Your personal qualifications and your attitude towards performance in a corporate context are just as important. You consider yourself to be forthcoming, curious and persevering, and you reflect yourself in our core values of Respect, Ambition, Curiosity and Smile & Joy.

The application period typically opens from December to January.

Interested applicants may apply for the position on Monjasa's career portal.

After the application deadline, selected candidates will be invited for a recruitment event at Monjasa's office. Candidates who perform best at this event will be invited for a subsequent interview
